This preconference course at the 2026 International Ranch Ministry Conference is led by Peter Gatto: Founder and CEO of Recovery-HUB, www.r-hub.org; Founder of Rancho el Camino (La Paz, Mexico) www.ranchoelcamino.org; 25 years in pastoral and cross-cultural missions and 33 years in recovery. AND

This preconference session is being held at Wings of Hope Ranch, 13280 Tower Rd, Doswell VA 23047 Friday September 25 from 8 am to 12 noon.

The Path to Freedom is a 13-week, Christ-centered recovery curriculum developed by Peter Gatto and field-tested through Recovery-HUB’s equine-assisted recovery programs with adolescents and adults. This model integrates Scripture, the 12 Steps, trauma-informed care, and hands-on work with horses to create a deeply transformative recovery experience on the ranch.
This training invites ranches, ministries, and churches to join a growing network of ranches partnering with Recovery-HUB to offer biblically grounded recovery as part of their ongoing programming. Participants will receive the foundation needed to confidently lead sessions on their own farm or ranch and become an extension of the Recovery-HUB ministry model in their region.
The training is educational, experiential, and highly interactive. Attendees will learn how to:
• Facilitate Christ-centered 12-Step groups on the ranch
• Integrate horses into recovery and spiritual formation
• Lead trauma-informed equine encounters
• Create emotionally and spiritually safe group environments
• Use Scripture, worship, and reflection to deepen transformation
• Adapt the curriculum for adolescents, adults, and mixed groups
By the end of the training, participants will not only understand the Path to Freedom model, but will be equipped to bring it back to their own ranch as a sustainable, Spirit-led recovery ministry and become part of a growing Recovery-HUB network of Christ-centered ranches.
This course can be taken as a stand alone course. You do not have to register or attend the Main International Ranch Ministry Conference being held at Wings of Hope Ranch Friday September 25th at 5 pm to Sunday September 27 at 4 pm.
