Educational event about the value that fallen leaves have for local wildlife.About this Event
What do fireflies, butterflies, moths, soil, turtles, and snakes have in common? All of them rely on having an insulating and nutrient rich blanket of leaves in the winter! Celebrate the bounty, beauty, and benefits of leaves during Leave the Leaves Day, hosted this year at Shelby Bottoms Nature Center. Come for crafts, critters, and to learn about why and how you should celebrate leaves on the ground.
