What stories do we tell in a changing world? How can climate and nature become part of compelling films and series without necessarily becoming the whole story?
Join us in Prague for Introducing Climate Storytelling in V4, a two-day international training and networking programme bringing together 40 film and media students, professionals, educators and researchers from Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.
📍 Prague, Czechia
📅 25–26 November 2026
🌍 Czechia · Hungary · Poland · Slovakia
🗣️ Working language: English
Over two intensive days, we will explore how the realities of a changing climate can shape characters, conflicts, settings, genres and the worlds we create on screen.
The programme combines practical workshops, expert sessions, case studies, a V4 industry round table and opportunities to exchange ideas with filmmakers and educators from across the region.
Our expert programme includes Fernanda Polacow (BR), Lucie Trémolières (FR) and Andrea Culková (CZ), bringing perspectives from screenwriting, dramaturgy, directing, script consulting and climate storytelling.
We welcome applications from:
🎓 film and media students
🎬 screenwriters, directors, producers, film critics

No previous experience with climate storytelling is required. We are looking for people curious about how the world around us can influence the stories we tell, and vice versa.
