Dr. Greg Andraso will host a hands-on educational session related to local fishes in the CLEER education laboratory. Test your knowledge of local species, learn how scientists “key out” species, make a gyotaku fish print to take home, or determine the age of a fish. Topics will change monthly. Dr. Andraso will also be on hand to answer fish-related questions.
Gregory M. Andraso, Ph.D. is a behavioral ecologist at Gannon University, Erie Campus. Dr. Andraso and his students have conducted research on a variety of local fishes including the round goby, bluegill, and pumpkinseed. His work also includes studies of fish communities in Presque Isle bay and Pennsylvania tributary streams of Lake Erie.
This is an event that is free and open to the public at Gannon's Center for Lake Erie Education and Research in Blasco Library.
