ANCIENT SPELLS Pt. IIIn March 2027, we’ll bring back the dark past to Zwickau, Germany!
After the great show with GEHENNA, CROMLECH and PENTHOS last November, and with our friends from HELL UNLEASHED sadly no longer organizing concerts, we decided that the long tradition of underground shows in Zwickau must not come to an end.
So we will continue to organize in the future selected shows with DSR bands and friends at Club Seilerstraße.
And who knows… maybe one day this will grow into a small festival.
We start on March 27, 2027 with ANCIENT SPELLS Pt. II and a very special line-up:
HELHEIM (NOR)
31 years after their last show in our region – during the Pagan Triumph Tour with BEHEMOTH at Ratskeller Fraureuth in 1996 – HELHEIM will finally return!
After witnessing their great performance at last year’s Beyond The Gates Festival in Bergen, we are more than happy to welcome them to our stage.
And for this special occasion, HELHEIM will perform their legendary debut album “Jormundgand” in its entirety!
Released in 1995, “Jormundgand” remains one of the strongest and, in our opinion, most underrated albums to emerge from the Norwegian Black Metal scene of the 90s. More than three decades later, its ancient atmosphere and power remain untouched.
Those familiar with our DSR re-release of this classic will already know how much this album means to us.

TULUS (NOR)
Formed in 1991, TULUS belong to the oldest still-active bands of the Norwegian Black Metal underground.
For more than three decades, the band has followed its own path, remaining deeply rooted in the dark and unmistakable spirit of Norwegian Black Metal while developing a sound and identity entirely their own.
With eight full-length albums to their name, TULUS have built an impressive legacy – the latest chapter being their eighth album "Morbid Desires", released through Darkness Shall Rise Productions in spring 2026.
Raw, sinister and unmistakably Norwegian, TULUS represent a part of the early Norwegian Black Metal tradition that has survived for more than three decades without losing its identity.
Despite their long history, TULUS are not a band you will often get the chance to witness live, which makes us even more pleased to welcome them as co-headliner of ANCIENT SPELLS Pt. II.
More than 35 years after their formation, the darkness is still very much alive…
VOODUS (SWE)
Hailing from Sweden and active since 2015, VOODUS have carved their own path through the dark realms of Black Metal over the past decade.
With two full-length albums already to their name, the band has built a reputation for intense, atmospheric and sinister Black Metal – deeply rooted in the genre’s traditions, yet carrying a strong identity of its own.
VOODUS have also proven themselves on the road, completing three tours so far, including two Scandinavian tours supporting MAYHEM, bringing their dark and powerful presence to stages across the North.
But there is another reason why we are especially pleased to have them as part of ANCIENT SPELLS Pt. II:
Their third full-length album will be released in 2027 through Darkness Shall Rise Productions!
We are extremely proud and grateful to welcome VOODUS into the DSR roster and very much looking forward to what lies ahead.
And before the new album arrives, we are happy to bring them to Zwickau. For the first time ever in Germany!
INFERNAL PRESENCE (GER)
Following their debut EP “Fiery Paths”, INFERNAL PRESENCE will present material from their upcoming debut full-length album, to be released through Darkness Shall Rise Productions in 2027.
Prepare for a pitch-black hybrid of Black and Death Metal, driven by hypnotizing riffs and an oppressive, threatening atmosphere that slowly drags you deeper into the abyss.
