ANCESTRAL TONGUE IS A MUSIC ENSEMBLE BASED IN LIBERTY, TN, THAT PERFORMS THE ORIGINAL MUSIC OF FILIPINO PIANIST AND SINGER/SONGWRITER ROQUÉ MARCELO.
ALONG WITH GUITARIST ANDREW WEITZE, DRUMMER JOE ALLEN, AND BASSIST/MANDOLINIST MAXZINE, OUR PERFORMANCES COME ALIVE WITH VARYING TEXTURES AND RHYTHMS THAT ADD DEPTH AND STYLE TO OUR SOUND.
OUR MUSIC TELLS STORIES CONNECTED TO IDENTITY, CULTURE, AND SELF-EMPOWERMENT THROUGH OUR ADVENTUROUS AND MULTILAYERED COMPOSITIONS.
