About this Event
ANC Training Academy’s Government Contracting — State & Federal course is a practical two-part training designed to help participants understand how businesses pursue public-sector work.
Over two Saturdays, we’ll cover the contracting process from opportunity search through contract performance, including:
- How State and Federal government contracting works
- Registrations and vendor setup
- How to find opportunities
- How to read solicitations and scopes of work
- How to decide whether an opportunity is a good fit
- Estimating and pricing
- Building responsive bids and proposals
- Compliance requirements
- Contract management after award
- Invoicing and getting paid
This course is designed for current business owners, people preparing to start a business, and anyone interested in learning how to compete for government work. You do not need to already own a business to attend.
Training will be based on real-world contracting experience, including lessons from bidding, winning, managing, and completing government contracts at the Federal, State, and local levels.
