Analía Centurión is an internationally acclaimed Argentine tango dancer, master teacher, choreographer, and author from Buenos Aires- Argentina.
With nearly 30 years of experience, she is known for her deep musicality, refined technique, and authentic milonguero roots, combined with a modern pedagogical approach.
She is also a ballet teacher and piano teacher, which strongly influences her musicality and movement quality in tango.
She began dancing tango in 1995 and quickly became a Youth Tango Champion in the Province of Buenos Aires, later training with legendary milongueros such as Mingo Pugliese, Puppy Castello, and Gerardo Portalea.
Analía has performed with renowned tango companies, including the Juan Carlos Copes Company, Mariano Mores Orchestra, and Mora Godoy Company, and in major Buenos Aires tango dinner shows such as Piazzolla Tango, Madero Tango, and La Ventana.
Internationally, she represented Argentine culture at the Vail International Dance Festival, alongside artists from American Ballet Theatre and Martha Graham Dance Company. Her work has been featured in The New Yorker and mentioned nine times in The New York Times.
She has performed with major U.S. institutions and companies, including the Atlanta Opera, New York City Opera, New World Symphony (Miami), and the Philadelphia Orchestra’s New Year’s Eve Celebration.
Analía regularly teaches and performs at international festivals across Europe, Asia, Australia, and the Americas, as well as throughout the United States, including New York, San Francisco, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, Miami, Honolulu, and Atlanta.
She has served as an official jury member of the World Tango Championship in Buenos Aires, as well as a juror and teacher for numerous international tango festivals and championships.
Analía is also the author of two Amazon bestselling books, “Shine in Your Tango” and “Your Tango Is Born”, and the founder of the international educational platform Tango Centurión.
She will be teaching and performing in Washington, DC, and the surrounding area from April 1–20.
