Join the Arab American Cultural Center in our cultural showcase event, Ana Min Hunak/Ana Min Huna (I'm from There, I'm from Here) focusing on the country of Ethiopia.
While Ethiopia is not one of the 22 countries members of the League of the Arab Nations, it shares historical ties and connections with several neighboring countries like Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, and Egypt. Join us to learn about the diversity of Ethiopia, its people, and its rich cultural heritage. Students, staff, and alumni will bring items of cultural heritage and share stories about their significance. Food will also be served. This event is organized in collaboration with the UIC East African Student Association.
Space is accessible by wheelchair.
Image ID: Light beige flyer with brown text on the left and a brown title in the middle that says "Ethiopia". On the right side of the flyer, there are three pictures. The top picture is of a coffee pot on coals, the middle picture is of an Ethiopian dish, injera, and a tapestry, and the bottom picture is of colorful woven baskets.
