About this Event
This presentation is a detailed, analytical, evidence-based investigation into how young people around the world are reaching out to their peers in both wholesome and self-destructive ways, fulfilling their most profound social-emotional need: contact, affirmation, reassurance, and validation. At a time when adolescent males and females are undergoing powerful body changes and attempting to forge and establish a sense of personal identity for themselves, they are particularly vulnerable to negative influences – and criminal actions – from the outside world.
We will delve into a great number of the factors involved in this phenomenon, and attendees will be given insights, tools, information, tactics, and recommendations from a wide gamut of professionals on how to deal with such a gargantuan and global issue.
