Description of Event:

VTSS Systems Coaching Institutes are designed in two parts (Systems Coaching Institute 101 and Systems Coaching Institute 102). The VTSS Systems Coaching Institutes will support division systems coaches in developing and applying the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to facilitate division and school teams through the development of the MTSS framework, including the design and implementation of a division-wide system for coaching.

In addition to this event, Systems Coaching 101 is being offered virtually on December 2 & 3.

Who should attend?

This training is intended for those who attended SCI 101 previously and/or division leadership and anyone supporting implementation or coaching of the work at the division level.

As a result of attending this session, participants will:

Understand the role of a systems coach
Understand and apply managing complex change
Identify the critical phases of implementation for initiatives
Apply the Implementation Logic for building and progress monitoring the multi-tiered systems of support
Define the six critical elements of the VTSS Implementation Matrix necessary for designing effective multi-tiered systems of support
Apply the lens of coaching to the six key elements of MTSS
Examine and apply coaching skills through guided practice

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

This training is for PK-12 educational professionals participating in VTSS in the Commonwealth of Virginia. We reserve the right to cancel registrations of individuals who do not meet this criteria.

Certificates of Attendance will be distributed at the conclusion of the training. We do not issue formal Continuing Educational Units (CEUs).
