About this Event
The pioneering digital artist/researcher Rachel Jacobs invites you to join her around the table at Space 4 to think together about what we need to thrive in the future. We will be making small robots using arts, crafts and technology that respond to our concerns about climate and environmental change and the impacts of digital technology on our everyday lives. Rachel will lead a series of playful and friendly creative activities to help us think imaginatively together about what we need for the future - sharing concerns and ideas about the environmental crisis, the impacts of digital technology/AI & the increasing polarisation between peoples, places, communities and non-human nature.
No previous creative or technical experience is necessary. This workshop is designed for ages 12 and over. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an parent or guardian.
Homemade seasonal vegetarian soup and other refreshments will be made available to participants during the workshop.
Space 4 is wheelchair accessible. The workshop aims to be as inclusive as possible. Please contact us if you have any accessibility or dietary requirements or have any questions about the activities.
There is a suggested donation of £5-£10 towards the cost of the soup and materials but it is up to your discretion.
