Scrying is one of the oldest forms of divination — using a reflective surface, flame, water, crystal or darkness to quiet the conscious mind and allow impressions, images, symbols and intuitive information to emerge.
In this practical introductory workshop, you’ll explore what scrying actually is, how it has been used historically, and how to begin developing the skill for yourself.
We’ll look at:
-What scrying is and how it differs from imagination or ordinary visualisation
-The history of scrying in magic and divination
-Crystal ball and mirror scrying
-Candle and flame scrying
-Water scrying
-Using darkness, shadows and reflective surfaces
-How to enter the relaxed, receptive state needed for scrying
-Recognising symbols, impressions, colours and fleeting images
-How to avoid forcing an answer
-The difference between intuitive information and simply seeing what you expect to see
-How to record and interpret your experiences
-Simple ways to practise and strengthen the skill over time
This will be a hands-on workshop , with guided exercises so you can experiment with different forms of scrying and discover which methods work best for you.
Scrying is not about staring into a crystal ball and expecting a full movie to appear. It is a subtle skill involving focus, altered attention, symbolism and intuition — and, like any skill, it becomes clearer with practice.
Perfect for complete beginners or anyone who has tried scrying before but struggled to know whether they were “doing it right”.
No previous psychic or magical experience is needed.
