Join your fellow illustrators for a special visit to Chelsea Physic Garden, London’s oldest botanic garden, nestled in the heart of the city. Established in 1673, this historic garden is a true hidden treasure.
With its extraordinary collection of plants, Chelsea Physic Garden is a glorious place to spend a few peaceful hours sketching flowers, trees, and fascinating botanical specimens.
You’ll encounter:
🌱 Plants that heal
🌾 Plants used for food
🌍 Plants that have changed the world through their usefulness
Wander along leafy corridors and explore beautiful glasshouses filled with tropical plants, delicate ferns, and vibrant pelargoniums. And of course, there’s a cosy café on hand for refreshments and a well-earned break.
We look forward to a day of drawing, discovery, and botanical inspiration!

Blend is the London illustrator Meet Up, lovingly run by volunteers Wendy J. Warren and Andy Zabala Wynn, in collaboration with the Association of Illustrators, who support illustrators working professionally throughout the industry. Travel: It’s a 30 min walk from Sloane Square Underground Station, but the 170 bus stops close to the main garden entrance.
