About this Event
About the group
This is a small, professionally facilitated support group for expats who would like a space to reflect on their experiences, connect with others who understand, and explore the emotional side of living abroad.
Together, we will create space to talk about:
- Loneliness and disconnection — feeling alone, even when life seems busy.
- Homesickness and missing home — navigating distance from familiar people, places, and routines.
- Identity and belonging — exploring who you are becoming and where you feel you belong.
- The challenges of adaptation — making sense of the emotional ups and downs of building a life in a new country.
- Connection and support — meeting others who may be experiencing similar challenges and discovering new ways of relating to yourself and others.
There is no pressure to have everything figured out, share more than you feel comfortable with, or arrive with a specific goal. You are welcome to come as you are and take part at your own pace.
Who is this group for?
This group is for adults living abroad who are experiencing loneliness, homesickness, difficulties adapting, questions about identity, or a sense of not quite belonging.
You do not need to be in crisis or have prior experience with therapy. You simply need a willingness to be present and respectful of others' experiences.
Who will facilitate the group?
The group will be facilitated by a psychologist and psychotherapist - Alex Limanówka (,https://www.instagram.com/therapy.by.alex/) providing a supportive and thoughtful space for reflection, sharing, and connection.
We will approach one another with curiosity, empathy, and respect. Confidentiality and mutual respect are essential to creating a space where everyone can feel safe enough to participate.
