An Exhibition of Watercolors with Luis Sandino

Luis Sandino was born in Nicaragua, where he studied Architecture at the National University. He moved to the United States in 1985 and worked in the fashion industry as an illustrator and designer. Luis was the Creative Director and Head Designer for Merlet USA for 14 years, where he oversaw trend and color research, sales presentation, and design and merchandising for clients such as Levi’s, Dillard’s, Cremieux, Oakley, Brooks, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Pacsun. Luis and his spouse (and their 3 rescue dogs) moved to Charlottesville in 2023. Luis is now semi-retired, working part-time at Caspari and creating art.
