About this Event
Troi Atkinson is a singer, songwriter, and recording artist from Mobile, Alabama, whose music blends Gulf Coast grit, Delta blues, and Southern rock. Signed with Mississippi Delta Blues Records & Management and recording at Gun Bunny Studios, Troi writes from lived experience—heartbreak, redemption, and all the grit that comes with it. Whether performing solo acoustic or with a full band behind him, his raw vocals and deeply personal lyrics bring every story to life.
David Walton writes what he calls “New Folk Songs with an Old Folk Vibe.” Based in Daphne, Alabama, David pairs songs and stories about life, love, death, and everything in between with a sound rooted in the folk tradition. His writing moves naturally between humor and heartache, always with the goal of connecting with the people listening. Away from the stage, David is a decorative paint artisan and also writes and directs church music.
Together, Troi and David bring two different but complementary approaches to songwriting to the TPR stage for a night centered on great songs, meaningful stories, and a room built for listening.
