At the invitation of CamRuSS, acclaimed Russian poet Yulia Mamocheva will give an online Poetry Evening.
Listeners around the world describe her work as poetry of strength and light. Her poems explore both the eternal and the everyday — the power of love, immortality, small miracles in ordinary life, and the triumph of beauty. Her performances are known for their emotional intensity and for leaving audiences feeling uplifted and renewed.

Yulia Mamocheva is a Russian poet, author of nine poetry collections, founder of her own poetry school, and director of the international educational project School of the Magic of Words.
By the age of 32, she had already been described by the celebrated Sixties-generation poet Andrei Dementyev as “a poet in love with beauty”, while poet Dmitry Bykov jokingly called her “a terror flying on the wings of night.”
She is a laureate of the Bunin Prize (2012, “Discovery of the Year” category). Over the years, she has performed in dozens of cities around the world and won the hearts of hundreds of thousands of readers.
Her poetry concerts and theatrical performances have taken her from Berlin to the Russian Arctic. She has appeared at the Taganka Theatre, the Moscow Art Theatre, ROSTA Theatre, and the Alexandrinsky Theatre.
Recordings of Mamocheva’s poems, performed both by Yulia herself and by well-known actors, have attracted hundreds of thousands of views online, while each of her live performances is known for creating a powerful emotional response.
