Original Adaption by Emily Kimbell, PhD, Director : Crystal Booth. Assistant Director: Terri WhitelyMeet the man behind the macabre: Edgar Allan Poe, whose life was every bit as haunting and tragic as his work. In this original theatrical work, Poe’s life is brought to the stage through a haunting tapestry of his most celebrated stories and poems, woven together with letters, journal entries, historical accounts, and firsthand writings from Poe, his family, friends, and contemporaries.
Featuring The Tell-Tale Heart, The Masque of the Red Death, The Raven, Annabel Lee, and more, this original script explores the man behind the myth—blurring the lines between Poe’s lived experiences and the dark worlds he created. A deeply personal journey through love, loss, obsession, and genius, this is the story of Edgar Allan Poe as you’ve never seen him before.
