Many of you will know the story of Mary-Jane Skaife, the young Darley woman who walked home from chapel one summer evening in 1858 and never made it home.At Nidd Films, we’ve spent the past year researching her story and filming in the places she knew, including her family home. On Saturday 28 November (6–8pm) we’re holding a free evening at Darley Memorial Hall to screen our research film, The Valley: A Keeping, and share our plans for Sweetheart: Angel of the Moor, a drama that will tell her story in full.
It’s a relaxed evening, with the films, a drink and a chance to chat. We’d especially love to meet anyone with local knowledge or family connections to the story.
Places are limited, so please email [email protected] to reserve yours.
