Join us for a fun, interactive exploration of how writers create memorable characters and meaningful journeys of self-discovery. Using familiar stories like The Lion King and Finding Nemo, we'll explore how a character's fears, flaws, and beliefs shape their choices—and why watching them grow can resonate so deeply with us.
Then we'll put those ideas into practice by creating a character together, discovering how even a few simple details can become the foundation for a compelling story.
No writing experience necessary—just a love of stories!
ABOUT LYSSA FAIRBANKS
A doctor in a past life, Lyssa writes medical romances about emotionally devoted couples, slow-burn longing, and connection that feels real. When she’s not wrangling two spirited kids or revising over too much coffee, she’s planning creative dates with her husband or sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses of her writing life on Instagram @LFairbanksWrites. She lives in St. Louis with her family and their melodramatic dog, Mochi.
