Johnny Gallagher needs little by way of introduction in Ballyshannon. For visitors planning to visit Ballyshannon in November, here's the short version:Johnny Gallagher is the guitarist with famed rock and blues group The Boxtie Band, or just plain old Boxtie as they're also known. Johnny is one of the finest players on the European touring circuit. He plays festivals, clubs and venues across the continent, solo and with half a dozen bands. Johnny moves from full-on rock to something quiet and tender inside the same song, and his unmistakable voice does the same thing, swooping from a scream to a whisper.
Johnny tells us his upcoming gig at the Allingham Festival will be a more gentle version: an acoustic gig in a small room on the Friday evening of the festival. Not to be missed for rock and blues fans everywhere!
