We are thrilled to welcome Elizabeth Wellington Rollins to the store for a discussion of her new novel, , our Athena Favorite for September.
Our staff loved this warm, smart debut about three generations of women in one Italian American family. Graziella, Grace, and Ella - grandmother, daughter, and granddaughter - find themselves living under the same roof after years apart, bringing family tensions, long-held secrets, and very different ideas about life along with them.
The story brings together family drama, romance, intrigue, a great plot twist, and plenty of Italian food. At its heart, though, the book is about family, community, and the people we rely on. Fans of Theo of Golden may recognize a similar spirit here: people trying to do right by one another and finding purpose through helping others. It’s a feel-good book with real substance, and one that kept us turning the pages until the end.

Elizabeth Wellington Rollins is a writer and award-winning copywriter. She grew up outside New York City and graduated from Davidson College. Her work has appeared in Condé Nast Traveler, The Week, Travel + Leisure, and Vogue. She lives in Vermont with her family.
