Dr. Maryanne Wolf is a scholar, teacher, and global advocate for literacy and children’s learning. She is the Director of the Center for Dyslexia, Diverse Learners, and Social Justice at UCLA and former John DiBiaggio Professor of Citizenship and Public Service at Tufts University.
An internationally recognized expert on the reading brain, Dr. Wolf has authored more than 170 scientific publications, including Proust and the Squid, Tales of Literacy for the 21st Century, and Reader, Come Home. She is also the creator of the RAVE‑O intervention program, designed to support struggling readers through a research-based, multi-componential approach.
Dr. Wolf has received numerous honors for her contributions to the neuroscience of reading, including election as a permanent member of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences.
