About this Event

Books, pizza and excellent company. Consider your Wednesday night spoken for.

We’re teaming up with Radio Times and Dr. Oetker Ristorante for a special evening at Uncommon Liverpool Street and you can sit with us.

Joining us is Dawn O’Porter, who’ll be chatting to Radio Times’ Helen Daly about her book, Hungry Eyes, and the books that have shaped her life. Brunch Book Club founder Taragh Godfrey will also be joining the conversation, and there’ll be a Q&A so you can put your questions to Dawn.

Expect plenty of book chat, a book signing and the chance to meet fellow readers. Coming on your own? You’ll be in good company. Bringing a friend? We’ll make room for their reading opinions too.

We’ll also have a book swap, so bring a book you’ve loved and are ready to pass on. You might leave with your next favourite or at least another addition to that wildly optimistic TBR pile.

And because all that conversation needs feeding, we’ll be serving Dr. Oetker Ristorante pizzas after the talk, followed by Dr. Oetker desserts. Vegan and gluten-free pizza options will be available.

Booking and arrival

Admission is free, but advance booking is essential. Please reserve a place for each person attending and provide their correct name, as the event team will check guests in against the guest list.

Your place includes the conversation and audience Q&A, pizza and desserts, a copy of Hungry Eyes and a gift bag. There’ll also be a book signing and an optional book swap.

If your plans change, please cancel your booking through Eventbrite so another reader can take your place. Free tickets still deserve a little diary commitment.

Photography and filming

Filming will take place throughout the evening, and attendees may appear in the background of footage. The team will ask for your consent before filming any individual vox-pop interviews.

Come hungry, come curious, come ready to talk books.
