Tandoori Lounge is proud to present an exclusive evening with Shin (DCS), the legendary frontman and distinctive voice behind one of the most influential bands in UK Bhangra.
For one night only, guests will have the rare opportunity to experience an intimate live appearance from an artist whose music has been part of the soundtrack to British Asian life for more than four decades.
As a founder member and lead vocalist of DCS, Shin has played an important role in the evolution of British Bhangra, with the band forming in 1983 and going on to build an international following. Renowned for his powerful and versatile vocals, Shin and DCS have collected numerous accolades over the years, including Best Group at the UK Asian Music Awards, an Outstanding Achievement Award, and Best Band at the Brit Asia TV Music Awards.
From old-skool DCS classics to collaborations and more recent releases, Shin’s catalogue spans generations. Songs associated with his career include “Daroo”, “Ik Gera”, “Nashe Diye Band Botle”, “Punjabi No. 1” and “Hogaya Pyar”, alongside newer releases including “Lovers”, “Nainan Wali”, “Tu He Ae” and 2026’s “I Promise – Vaada”.

Begin the evening with an exclusive opportunity to meet Shin in person, take photographs and enjoy a personal moment with one of UK Bhangra’s most recognisable voices.
Guests wishing to take part in the photo opportunity are kindly asked to arrive promptly, as the meet & greet will only take place between 6.30pm and 7.00pm.
In Conversation with Shin (DCS)
Enjoy an intimate and insightful conversation as Shin reflects on his extraordinary journey through music, from the formative years of the UK Bhangra movement to more than four decades of performing, recording and taking the DCS sound to audiences around the world.
Hear the stories behind the music, the evolution of British Bhangra, life on the road and some of the defining moments from a remarkable career.
Exclusive Audience Q&A
Guests will also have the opportunity to hear directly from Shin during a live audience Q&A, with the chance to ask questions about DCS, his music, his career and some of the unforgettable moments he has experienced along the way.
Live Performance
The evening will culminate in a special live performance from Shin (DCS), bringing that unmistakable voice and energy to the intimate surroundings of Tandoori Lounge.
Expect classic Bhangra, audience favourites and memorable moments from an artist whose music continues to connect generations.
DJ Entertainment Throughout the Night
DJ Desi Nitro will be on hand throughout the evening, bringing a carefully curated soundtrack of Bhangra classics, old-skool favourites and party anthems to carry the energy through the night.
