820 Ebony/Jet: Visions of the Johnson Publishing Company, an American Icon
Celebrating the iconic interiors of the Johnson Publishing Company’s Chicago headquarters, home of Ebony and Jet magazines.
~~~~ About the book ~~~~
Karant photographed every floor of the vacant headquarters before it was converted to residences. The interiors had remained largely unchanged since 1972, with a distinct color and pattern scheme on each of its eleven floors. The book preserves them in about 140 color photographs, alongside essays and archival images.
