Join us for a special evening celebrating art, history, music, and the remarkable women whose stories are woven into the history of the Moravian Church and our community. We are delighted to feature Moravian artist Lynn Waggoner, whose charming, folk-art-inspired creations celebrate the traditions, history, and everyday beauty of Moravian life. Lynn will have a collection of her Moravian artwork and handcrafted folk-art-style pieces available for purchase, offering guests a wonderful opportunity to take home a little piece of Moravian heritage!
We'll also share a special project Lynn has been working on with Julie Tomlinson, honoring women whose lives and contributions helped shape Moravian history.
A highlight of the evening will be the unveiling of two portraits, including one of Cherokee Peggy Crutchfield. These works will eventually find a permanent home in Old Salem, while prints of the portraits will become part of an upcoming children's book, helping introduce these important stories to a new generation.
