Guitarist and producer Adam Hawley was handpicked by Earth, Wind & Fire founder Maurice White to record for White's Kalimba Music label, and his 2016 debut, Just the Beginning, sent him straight to the top of the smooth jazz charts. He has since become a 19-time Billboard #1 artist and producer, and Billboard named him its 2025 Smooth Jazz Airplay Artist of the Year. Along the way he has played with Natalie Cole, Jennifer Lopez, Lalah Hathaway and The Manhattan Transfer, and he holds a Doctorate in Musical Arts from USC.
His 2023 album What Christmas Means to Me, his first holiday record, wraps the season's classics in his warm, soulful guitar. The Sunday before Christmas he brings two sets of holiday arrangements, original contemporary jazz and favorites from Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind & Fire, Maze and Chaka Khan to Mason Street.
