An Abstract Illusion:
An Abstract Illusion is a progressive death metal band hailing from the coldest, northern-most part of Sweden. Known for their intricate compositions, atmospheric and emotive depth, and genre-blending sound, the band has carved a niche in the extreme metal scene by combining brutal riffs, melodic passages, and cinematic soundscapes.
Their debut album, ‘Illuminate the Path’ (2016), showcased their technical prowess and ambition, but it was their sophomore release, ‘Woe’ (2022), that truly solidified their reputation. Woe received widespread acclaim for its emotional intensity, dynamic range, and masterful fusion of death metal with progressive and black metal influences.
Their return in October 2025 with highly anticipated ‘The Sleeping City’, An Abstract Illusion continues to push the boundaries of modern extreme metal, receiving widespread acclaim from both critics and fans of progressive metal. The band remains an exciting up-and-coming force, captivating fans of Opeth, Insomnium, Ne Obliviscaris, and Wilderun.

DISILLUSION look back on a long and eventful history full of highlights. Their debut, ‘Back to Times of Splendor’ (2004), set new standards in progressive death metal: an epic concept album full of emotion – from fragile, touching moments to brutal, powerful passages – hailed by Metal Hammer as one of the best German metal albums of all time.
More recently, their albums ‘The Liberation’ and ‘Ayam’ charted in Germany. In 2022, the band toured successfully across Europe with Obscura and Persefone, and in 2024 they celebrated the 20th anniversary of Back to Times of Splendor with an almost completely sold-out jubilee tour.
Looking ahead, 2026 marks another major milestone: ‘Gloria’, DISILLUSION’s second album, will turn 20. A landmark release that showcased the band’s versatility and experimental spirit, it has since earned cult status among fans. DISILLUSION are now working at full strength on their fifth studio album. Anticipation is high, as with each independent release the band has grown, explored new dimensions, and continually transformed itself into something even greater.

Copenhagen-based Feather Mountain will stun Stengade with their unique fusion of progressive metal, dreamy alternative rock and offbeat metal atmospheres, their sound having received praise from critics at home and abroad. They have performed at events such as Roskilde Festival, Euroblast, and Terneuzen on Fire, and joined VOLA on their Friend of a Phantom Tour in 2024.
