Come celebrate our Grand Opening of Amplify in Hamtramck! This venue has existed for nearly 50 years, and we plan on continuing the legacy and expanding it into a multi-genre platform. We invite you to celebrate the new ownership by Maggie and Zack!Maggie grew up with music as part of her life and attended her first EDM festival inn 2001. She began her event planning journey with friends who are EDM DJs in her kitchen with only one DJ. It eventually expanded into a full lineup and a large group of friends who became family. Through this experience she then ended up booking venues and venturing in multi-genres. The path as led to an expansion into her own venue for to the love of music and building the community music has brought her.
Zack has been apart of the rave scene since the 1990s, with a lifelong passion for electronic music, including techno and house. After years of being immersed in the culture, he recently began producing and hosting his own events at venues throughout Detroit. His events have quickly gained a following, with portal 313 being one of his most popular and successful events. Now, Zack is bringing that experience, passion, and connection to the local music community to Amplify
