Make a Day of It at America’s Harvest Festival and the Historical Museum! 🍂Join us Saturday, Oct. 24, for a full day of fall fun at the State Historical Museum of Iowa and America’s Harvest Festival. The museum, located just across the street from the Iowa Capitol Complex, will extend its hours until 6 p.m. so visitors can explore Iowa’s history before, during, or after the festival.

Start your day at the museum:
🎃 Goldie’s Halloween Bash | 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
Bring the kiddos in costume for a morning of crafts, games, activities, trick-or-treat stations, and more. No registration required!
Then explore the museum throughout the afternoon:
🏛️ Museum Highlights Tours | 2, 3, and 4 p.m.
Join a one-hour guided tour featuring popular stops throughout the museum and stories of the people, places, and events that shaped Iowa.
📜 Research Center | 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Stop in to see Iowa’s rare 1837 William Stone print of the Declaration of Independence.

Enjoy live entertainment, historical reenactments, family activities, interactive exhibits, demonstrations, food, shopping, and more as the Iowa Capitol Complex comes alive to celebrate the people, innovations, and traditions that have shaped Iowa and America.
