Clayton Burke 🤠 Originally hailing from downstate Illinois, Clayton Burke Deering is a songwriter and a pedal steel player that happily resides and plays regularly in the Urbana Champaign region. Inspired heavily by John Prine and Tom Waits, -searching for the "Beauty in the Mundane" and the "Humor in Sorrow" are the common compass and narrative in his songwriting. Clayton plays with a number of bands in the CU area from rock n roll, to country and folk, and has been journeying into an experimental pedalsteel project incorporating synths and unusual layers for a few years now. Whether u need the HokeyTonk or the Sweet and Sappy, Clayton Burke's gotcha covered!
