American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor Course

The American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor coursetrains qualified individuals to teach the Red Cross Lifeguarding program and certify new lifeguards. The course combines online learning with an in-person skills session, requiring instructor candidates to demonstrate knowledge and skill in water rescue, CPR, AED, first aid, and effective instruction. Upon completion, instructors can teach the official Red Cross curriculum and issue certifications, but they must first affiliate with a Red Cross Training Provider.

• Possess a basic level certification in American Red Cross lifeguarding
• Successfully complete blended-learning portion of course before attending in-person portion
• Supply your own participant level lifeguarding manual and lifeguard instructor manual.

This course involves very challenging physical competency throughout the class. It also requires participants to successfully pass a written test. If you foresee a need for any special accommodations with any of these, please contact us prior to the beginning of the course, if possible, to discuss possible accommodations (i.e. having the test read aloud, accommodations for health concerns, etc.).

Refunds (less EventBrite fees) are available up to 7 days in advance of the class. No refunds or credits will be issued within 7 days of the class. Refunds are only available on your Eventbrite account. Refunds will not be issued due to unsuccessful participation.
