About this Event
You asked, we listened!
After an overwhelming response to our October Mahjong 101 session—and a waitlist full of eager beginners—we’re adding a lesson-only event at MOJO Coffee Company on December 16!
Join Keep Mahjing On American Mahjong 101 - for Beginners, a two-hour introduction designed for brand-new players. We’ll cover tile recognition, reading the National Mah Jongg League card, the Charleston, and the basics of gameplay using NMJL rules.
You’ll learn in pairs, giving you a partner to talk through decisions with as your instructor guides you step by step.
Your ticket includes:
- Two hours of beginner instruction.
- All Mahjong materials for class use, including tiles, racks, mats, and loaner NMJL cards.
- A beginner guide to take home.
- Light bites served by MOJO.
BYOB! Coming with friends? Let us know who you’re attending with, and we’ll do our best to seat you together. Seating requests cannot be guaranteed.
No experience necessary. Limited seats available!
