We'll be accepting the following recyclables:
💻 Goodwill donations: All electronics (except CRT TVs)
📄 Shredding: Paper products (no cardboard boxes)
💊 Virginia Beach Police Department will be collecting prescription drugs
📱 Used or unused cellphones for the 911 Cellphone Bank, to be wiped and repurposed for victims of domestic abuse
🎞️ Nextrex is collecting plastic bags and film for recycling
🚫Please note: No propane tanks, or hazardous household waste will be accepted at this event.
America Recycles Day is the only nationally recognized day dedicated to recycling awareness. Launched in 1997, it’s a day to celebrate recycling and commit to a more sustainable future. Millions of people participate in events across the country to raise awareness about the benefits of recycling and to take the personal pledge to recycle and buy products made from recycled materials.
