Join Arkansas Fly Fishers in October as we welcome Amanda Willshire for a program exploring fly fishing and art.An Arkansas native and Hendrix College graduate, Amanda is an artist and fly-fishing guide whose life and work have kept her closely connected to the water. Her artwork ranges from distinctive steel fish sculptures to large-scale public art, while her fly-fishing experiences have taken her from the trout waters of Colorado to pursuing fish in the salt.
Amanda will share some of those experiences with AFF and talk about the connections between fishing, fish, water and her work as an artist. Whether you're interested in fly fishing, art, or simply the places a life in fly fishing can take you, this should be a fun and different AFF program.
AFF members, guests and visitors are welcome. You don't have to be a member to attend.
Come early, grab some dinner and join us for an evening of fly fishing, art and conversation with Amanda Willshire.
