About this Event
On behalf of the NJIT community, APO Lambda Delta welcomes you aboard to a delightful introduction to our campus. This year's conference theme is "Around the World," and we're so excited to have four regions gathering under one roof for a weekend of leadership, friendship, and service! The following is the information you'll need to know in order to start your registration for our conference. The same information can also be found in this welcome packet
Complete our 2-Step Registration:
- Purchase your ticket below. Merch is available as an add-on at checkout; pre-orders close October 7th. Day-of size requests cannot be guaranteed after this date. The ticket prices cover conference materials, breakfast, and dinner. Lunch will be on your own.
- Complete the required attendee form
The Google Form covers workshop RSVPs, meal preferences, and accessibility needs. You are not fully registered until both steps are done. Please complete both as soon as possible.
Schedule
Friday, November 6
Evening fellowship at the Courtyard by Marriott Newark Downtown. Join us for board games and snacks the night before the conference! Consider bringing a game you enjoy to share with your fellow brothers.
Saturday, November 7 (Main Conference day)
Doors open at 7:30 AM with a continental breakfast; we'll kick off the day with an Opening Keynote! The day covers business, a mandatory risk management workshop, service projects, and optional sessions built around Leadership, Friendship, and Service. Your ticket includes Breakfast and Dinner, while lunch isn't covered we've partnered with a variety of local shops to provide our attendees discounted purchase rates.
Sunday, November 8
No programming. This day is dedicated for fellowship, hotel checkout, and traveling home.
Workshops
Sessions range from communication to creativity. A two-hour CPR workshop is also offered, limited to the first 48 people who RSVP on the attendee form. Submitting the form does not confirm your spot. You'll receive a separate confirmation email. This is a full two-hour commitment, if you change your mind about your RSVP please notify: [email protected]
Service Projects
Two projects this year. One serves the local Newark community, the other supports an international effort. More details to come.
Hotel
A group rate is available at the Courtyard by Marriott Newark Downtown, 858 Broad Street, Newark, NJ 07102. Rooms are $175 per night, $204 after taxes and fees. Hotel parking is $21 for registered guests and $38 per day for unregistered guests.
If you need a hotel, book by Tuesday, October 6. After that the group rate is gone. Link to book
The hotel is about a 25-minute walk from campus and is also reachable by the NJ Transit 24 and 41 buses or the Newark Light Rail from Military Park to Warren Street.
Parking & Transit
Campus parking is limited, so we encourage you all to carpool or use transit.
Parking: Science & Technology Parking Garage, 42 Sylvia Jackson Way, Newark, NJ 07103, $8.00. Metered street parking may be available on Bleeker Street, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Lock Street, and Warren Street.
Light rail: The Newark Light Rail stops at NJIT via Warren Street Station. Tickets are about $3.00 at station kiosks or on the NJ Transit app. From Newark Penn Station, take the light rail directly to Lock Street at NJIT.
