About this Event
Almere is home to many active communities, networks and initiatives. Each contributes something valuable, but we often work separately, reach the same people through different channels and face similar challenges without knowing who else may be able to help.
The Almere Community Leaders Roundtable brings Dutch and international community leaders together to change that.
This is not simply a networking event. It is a working conversation for people who lead, organise or support communities in Almere and want to explore how we can collaborate while maintaining the individual identity and independence of our groups.
During the evening, we will:
- Learn more about the communities and initiatives represented in the room
- Exchange experiences, needs, resources and useful contacts
- Explore opportunities to cross-promote relevant activities through our groups and communication channels
- Discuss how we can coordinate events and avoid unnecessary overlap
- Identify possibilities for joint events, workshops and community projects
- Introduce The HUB as a welcoming space where community events, meetings and collaborations can take place
- Agree on practical next steps for staying connected and working together
The aim is to leave with more than new contacts. We want to establish the foundations for an active network of community leaders who can support one another, strengthen participation and contribute to a more connected future for Almere.
Whether you lead a neighbourhood group, cultural community, social initiative, volunteer network, foundation, online community or local organisation, your experience and perspective belong at the table.
Come prepared to introduce your community, share one challenge or opportunity and explore what we could achieve together.

Small-group discussions focused on:
- Cross-promotion between community channels
- Coordinating calendars and avoiding event clashes
- Joint events, workshops and community projects
- Sharing spaces, expertise, volunteers and contacts
- Increasing connection between Dutch and international residents
