Alliance Tournament XXII Finals
The team from Fenris Creations and our EVE_NT partners will be back in Nottingham to produce the ATXXII Finals and for the first time ever we're opening the event up to players who want to attend in person and be part of a live studio audience! Come and join us for the thrills and spills of the AT finals and spend some time in the company of fellow internet spaceship enthusiasts as you cheer on your favorite team.
The ATXXII Finals run over two days - 31 October & 1 November - and each day is ticketed separately so you can decide to only come for one day or for both. Tickets are a modest £10 + fees and on arrival you will be given a token you can exchange for a beer or soda.
The Venue
The ATXXII Finals are being broadcast from Confetti X which features a modern, comfortable esports theatre where you will be able to watch the matches on the big screen with the analysts and commentators live in the room.
Doors open both days at 12pm with matches starting at 1:30pm on Saturday and 1:00pm on Sunday. You will need to present your Eventbrite eticket to be scanned in and receive your drink token.
Outside the theatre the rest of the facility is available to you as well, with a bar and seating where you can relax with your spacefriends and watch the feed of the broadcast on the screens around the venue.
Beer, soda and snacks are available from the bar and there are several cafes and restaurants near the venue if you want head out for something more substantial.
The esports theatre itself has a seating capacity of approx 80 people and seats cannot be reserved, so depending on how busy it gets in there you may have to wait until someone leaves before you can re-enter, but you can still chill and enjoy the matches from outside.
The Program
The ATXXII Finals will take the 16 teams that remain after the preliminary round has ended and pit them against each other in double elimination best-of-1 matches until we're down to 8 teams when the tournament will move into a double elimination best-of-3 series before a best-of-5 finals. A full schedule for the event will be published soon™.
On Saturday you can expect an 8+ hour program consisting of 28 matches. On Sunday the number of matches and duration of the event will vary depending on how many fights are needed to resolve the best-of-3 series.
