Close All Saints’ Day with one of the Anglican tradition’s most beautiful forms of worship at Christ Church Cathedral, a place of prayer in the heart of downtown Houston since 1839.Founded during the Republic of Texas, Christ Church was Houston’s first religious congregation and is the only one still worshiping on its original site from those early days. The present Gothic Revival sanctuary has welcomed worshipers since Christmas Eve 1893.
Choral Evensong for All Saints brings together Scripture, prayer, and the music of the Cathedral Choir, the Cathedral’s flagship ensemble of volunteer and professional singers. On this holy day, we give thanks for the communion of saints and remember with hope the faithful who have gone before us.
You do not need to be Episcopalian or a member of the Cathedral to attend. Stay after the service for a reception and fellowship.
Free and open to all. Free Sunday parking is available in the Cathedral Garage on San Jacinto Street, between Texas and Prairie; street parking is also free on Sundays.
