About this Event
Alice SK Live at St. Mary's Church, Marlborough in aid of Shelter UK
Get ready for an unforgettable live performance by Alice SK at the beautiful St. Mary's Church in Marlborough! Alice SK is an indie-folk artist from Marlborough, now living in London. From playing live at Truck Festival, Isle of Wight to performing on BBC London and Radio X, Alice is currently curating an 'A-Z Tour'; 26 shows going through each letter of the alphabet in different venues, churches, arts spaces and busking, to re-connect with the outside world through live music.
Quote from Alice: 'In a world ruled by AI, social media and online following, I think it's so important that we as people remember what is truly important in life. To me that is connecting with each other, joining together through a joy of music, arts and meeting new people in real life, sharing stories and listening to other people's stories. I fell in love with music literally at St. Mary's Church, playing there as a child and seeing the power of community and the joy that playing, singing and hitting the tamborine can bring. I am so excited to be playing back here, where so much of my life was formed, as part of my A-Z Tour; what better place to be playing than where faith, community and a love of music began?'
All profits from the show will be going to Shelter UK; as winter is coming up it is important that we do what we can for those on the streets and without shelter.
