Information about AA - the realities and myths!

Professional Speakers :

  • Dame Carol Black (GBE FRCP FMed Sci.) - currently the Government’s independent advisor on drug misuse. Government advisor 2021 for the 'Harm to Hope' strategy.
  • Dr. Kieran Moriarty (CBE FRCP FRCPI) - Trustee (non-Alcoholic) for Alcoholics Anonymous. Renowned gastroenteroligist, former British Hospital Doctor of the Year & advocate for integrated alcohol care teams.
  • Dr. Samantha Duggan - a behavioural psychologist specialising in family, parenting, and recovery-informed practice.
  • Tim Weston – a Senior Probation Officer at Thames Valley Probation. As well as the legal responsibilities of managing those on probation,work includes support for behaviour programmes, community re-engagement , along with accomodation, education & employment.

Members of AA in Recovery who will share their real lived experiences.
