SeekArt presents the Al Clapper Core-tet at Cape Town Jazz Club. You have probably never heard the Great American Songbook sung like this in Cape Town.
You may know Al Clapper from soul-hop band androgenius. This is his professional debut as a jazz vocalist and the first outing for the Core-tet under its own name.
Beautiful ballads, playfully sassy swing, bouncing bebop and a love affair with Latin jazz.
With Jason Marshall on piano, Adam Selikowitz on double bass and Matt Keswell on drums.
Sophisticated, never stuffy, with just the right amount of scat.
