Akoopar

Akoopar is one of Gujarati theatre’s most celebrated plays, adapted from Dhruv Bhatt’s much-loved novel. Created and directed by Aditi Desai and performed by Jashwant Thaker Memorial Foundation since 2013, it brings the world of Gir’s forests and Asiatic lions alive on stage.

Through its music, dialect, culture and human stories, Akoopar celebrates Gujarat’s landscape and explores our deep connection with nature and wildlife.
