Ain’t We Got Fun? is a brand-new Canadian musical comedy bursting with vintage songs, big personalities, show-stopping dance numbers and all the glorious chaos of life backstage.
When rising star Jane suddenly finds herself without a leading man, the theatre launches a frantic search for a replacement. The only problem? Her fiercely devoted and hilariously overbearing grandmother Olive is convinced that absolutely no man in the theatre is good enough for her granddaughter.
As a parade of increasingly outrageous leading-man hopefuls arrives to audition, Olive does everything in her power to protect Jane, while Jane begins to wonder whether the perfect leading man might already be closer than anyone realizes.
Starring Maralyn Ryan, Cam Chapman, Jesse Drwiega and Tia Ferlizza, Ain’t We Got Fun? is a fast, funny love letter to the great backstage movie musicals, featuring favourites including “Crazy Rhythm,” “Some of These Days,” “Somebody Loves Me,” “It Had to Be You,” “Let’s Get Lost” and more.
Full of romance, tap dancing, larger-than-life characters and a grandmother who absolutely refuses to stay out of the way, it’s an old-fashioned musical comedy with a brand-new twist.
