Overview: We will be reviewing and touring the Kalamazoo Event Center site and building – a new 440,000sf project in the heart of downtown Kalamazoo. This facility is slated to open in Fall 2027 and includes a 7,000 seat arena for hockey, basketball and performances, a separate practice ice sheet, 2 full size basketball practice courts, a 20,000 sf flat floor event space, and numerous athletic support areas and team performance spaces for both Western Michigan University Athletics and the Kalamazoo Wings hockey team
Continuing Education Learning Units: 1.5 HSW (Pending Approval), remember to sign the AIA SWM attendance sheet. ONLY 15 tickets total are available for this tour.
Personal Protection Equipment: Full PPE is required to be worn.
