About this Event
You have tried AI. It gave you something generic, or something wrong, and you went back to doing it yourself.
That is not a you problem and it is not a tool problem. Nobody showed you how to use it, and almost nobody has been shown. Two thirds of the Canadian businesses using AI right now have never formally trained anyone on it, and it shows up as exactly what you have been getting: generic answers, wasted subscriptions, and quiet mistakes nobody catches.
Level 1 fixes that in one afternoon.
This is a working session, not a lecture. Twelve seats. You bring your own laptop and your own real work. Half the afternoon is you at your keyboard with me in the room, and you leave with things built rather than notes you will never reread.
What you will leave with:
- AI that knows YOU. No more repeating yourself. No more amnesia. You leave with a tool that already knows who you are, what you do and how you like to work, every time you open it.
- Prompts that work the first time. Two techniques that fix the generic-answer problem for good, practised on your own task, not a demo.
- A way to check the answer. Four checks that catch the errors before a client sees them, and a clear rule for when it matters and when it does not.
- One saved prompt you will actually use every week.
- The take-home pack: the prompt builder, the hacks sheet, the twenty prompts, and your own reference card.
- A certificate of completion that can count toward continuing professional development credits for your professional designation.
- A LinkedIn badge. You earned it. Wear it proudly.
What we cover
How it actually works, so nothing feels like magic. The AI landscape, which tool is which, and why it matters less than you think. Tool setup. Prompt and context workshops on your own real task. Results verification.
Everything is tool agnostic. Bring whatever you already use, or whatever your employer makes you use. ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini. The skills transfer; the tools don't matter.
Who this is for
Everyone. If you've never opened an AI tool, come anyway; you'll be fine. And if you suspect you're only getting a fraction of what it can do, this is for you too. No technical background needed, and you won't write a single line of code.
Who this is not for
If you already use AI every day and it still feels like asking and waiting, you're ready for more than Level 1. When you want it to stop answering and start working alongside you, automating the repetitive work, running tasks without you and collaborating instead of just responding, that is Level 2 on November 19.
Professional development
Four hours of instruction, with a certificate of completion. kmay AI training courses are built to count toward continuing professional development for designations such as APEGS and PMI, and may qualify with other professional bodies. Check your own program's rules; your certificate is the proof of completion you keep for your record.
