Join Gillette College Workforce & Community Development and Area 59 for our first collaborative Workforce Wednesday series!AI for the Public: Practical AI for Everyday Life is designed for everyday people who are curious about artificial intelligence but aren’t sure where to begin. You do not need a technical background or previous AI experience. We’re starting with the basics and focusing on practical ways AI can make everyday tasks easier.
Throughout this three-part series, you’ll explore how to use generative AI to:
• Understand what AI is—and what it isn’t
• Ask better questions and write effective prompts
• Tackle everyday problems and tasks
• Improve productivity, research, and organization
• Find information and develop ideas more efficiently
• Create images and other content
• Use AI more safely and thoughtfully
• Build a personalized AI workflow you can continue using after the
series
Session 1 — FREE
October 28 | 5:30–7:30 PM
Start with an approachable introduction to AI, including a panel discussion, demonstrations, and hands-on activities. We’ll explore what AI can do, where its limitations are, and how you might actually use it in your daily life.
Sessions 2 & 3
November 11 & November 18 | 5:30–7:30 PM
$50 for both sessions
Take the next step with hands-on practice in prompting, productivity, research, organization, problem-solving, and creative AI tools. During the final session, you’ll put what you’ve learned together to create your own AI project and personalized workflow. Participants will also have an opportunity to enter a raffle for an Area 59 class.
Whether you’re interested in AI for work, home, hobbies, organization, creativity, or simply want to understand what everyone is talking about, this series is for you.
