AI, Ethics, and Safety: Navigating the New Frontier in the DV Movement

Join Dr. Jocelyn Enabulele (DrJ), Executive Director of Roni Lifeworks, Community Leader, Domestic Violence and Trauma Educator, for an engaging and thought-provoking 2-hour workshop exploring the evolving intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Domestic Violence (DV).

This timely session brings together advocates, technology professionals, service providers, survivors, and community members to examine how emerging AI technologies are shaping survivor safety, privacy, and access to critical support services.

As AI becomes increasingly integrated into our daily lives, it presents both opportunities and risks. Participants will explore how AI can be misused through surveillance, harassment, impersonation, misinformation, and other forms of technology-facilitated abuse. At the same time, the workshop will highlight ethical, trauma-informed, and survivor-centered approaches to leveraging AI for prevention, advocacy, education, and support.

What You'll Learn
  • Risks associated with AI-driven and technology-facilitated abuse
  • Ethical considerations for AI use within the domestic violence movement
  • Opportunities to leverage AI for survivor safety and empowerment
  • Strategies for strengthening digital safety, privacy, and equity
  • The role of advocates, technologists, policymakers, and communities in shaping responsible AI innovation
  • Emerging trends and best practices for protecting vulnerable populations in a rapidly changing digital landscape

Whether you are a domestic violence advocate, social service provider, community leader, technology professional, student, or concerned community member, this workshop will equip you with valuable knowledge, practical tools, and actionable insights to navigate the opportunities and challenges AI presents in creating safer, more equitable communities.

Register today and be part of the movement to ensure technology advances safety, dignity, and empowerment for all.
